Belated Merry Christmas !!!!

Hello! I am Alexsei's sister... Olivia Catherine Kinney.
Alexsei's 1st visit with the Nantucket Santa. He checked out Santa for quite a bit before crying at the end. A very sweet Santa! He brought us lots of toys!
Auntie Sara from Seattle,Wa came to visit us and loved reading and playing with her new nephew...Alexsei.

Picking out our 1st christmas tree! Which one is the best..Papa??

Today! Is the last day of 2009 with so many GREAT things that have happened to us.

Our family finally came together with the adoption of our dear sweet son Alexsei (7 months old)on September 11th and the home arrival on October 21st.(9months)

Two and half weeks later the birth of our precious daughter Olivia Catherine on November7th. Our lives are now complete!!!

Dave and I are trying to settle in with our new family life...everyday is a new day for us. I am feeling better everyday after my c-section with Olivia...it has taken some time and thank goodness for the help from Grandma Ginny! We are all learning about the children and their personalities. Alexsei is doing very well!!! He continues to grow more teeth ...has 2 top and 2.5 on the bottom and his hair is getting longer with a touch of a wave..still dirty blond. He continues to eat us out house and home weighing 20 pounds. Our lives are now very different with the children ....it's all about them !!!

Papa Dave is a GREAT dad!! He is very active caregiver /parent taking charge of his son. Dave returned to Almaty, Kazakhstan in mid October to pick-up our son and bring him home (1week trip) . I was unable to travel due to my last trimester of being prego with Olivia. It was a GREAT chance for the guys to bond....it was a very long...long...trip back to Nantucket. Alexsei had an ear infection that made him cry ALL the way home from Amsterdam to Boston and plus hadn't sleep either. The poor boy! All is well now!

The two Kinney guys spend there time together having fun playing indoor and out and have even been on a job site too!

Tilden our 6 year old lab is getting use to the children in the house. He enjoys ALL the goodies Alexsei leaves for him on the floor. The two play a lot on the floor and it's very cute to see.

Sister Olivia came early into this world 20 days early! She wanted to meet her BIG brother.

Olivia was born on Nantucket so....we have a Native in the house! This was not planned but, she wanted out! My labor was to far along to travel to Cape Cod for delivery so....we all stayed on the island. It ended up being just GREAT for us ALL. Grandma Ginny watched Alexsei while I was in labor with Papa Dave's help. When it was time to visit Alexseia and Grandma walked with the buggy to the hospital just up the street. Everyday my son came to see me and his new sister. The nurses also loved Alexsei too!

Olivia is now almost 2 months and doing very well. She has become a bit of a fussy girl with a touch of colic. Other than that...she is eating and growing. Alexsei has become more interested in her as she doesn't sleep all day/night. He has attacked her feet and face with lots of strong love!! We look forward when they are bigger and can play with one another.

My plan is still to continue with the blog....time pending. So please stay in touch and follow our family life!

Wishing all a very Happy 2010!

All the best from the Kinneys

David, Leith, Alexsei and Olivia xoxoxo
