Good Am! My first outing with Grandma Ginny to the "Downey Flake"! I am waiting for the fresh hot sugar donuts! ( I am dreaming of them....soon I will be eating them )

My Cape Cod Gramm came to visit me the other day! We had a great time getting to know one another. She took me for a nice sunny buggy walk. Alexsei received his 1st tool......a hammer...now off he goes to work with Papa Dave!!!

Hello World! This is my 1st morning waking up in my NEW Home with my parents!

I feel a lot better....after had a good night sleep after my long journey with my Papa from Kazakhstan.

Sorry, we haven't posted any thing new.....our computer hasn't been working and Master Alexsei has kept both Mama Leith and Papa Dave very busy. WE will be posting new pix very soon.
The Kinney household has been settling in their new LIFE....we are doing well and Master Alexsei is the JOY OF OUR LIFE!!! He is a VERY HAPPY boy and loves his new parents and home and his new friends!!!! Alexsei has had his 1st trip to the doctors office...Dr. Lepore to have his ears checked out...YUP...has a an ear infection and NOW on US meds and feeling better everyday. Teething is still an issue and will be a quiet a while.....every thing is the mouth!!! Love to eat any kind of paper! Watch out!!! Alexsei also has been a BIG BOY and is loving EATING meals and snacks...mainly made by Mama . Mama loves her baby food mill!!! If we don't feed him ASAP he gets really mad!!!!! Alexsei has also taken to sleep in his sisters bassinet which is very cozy and we will address this matter when the time comes. Til then..Happy bed ....Happy baby!!!!
Halloween is coming upon us here on Nantucket. Alexsei will be a FROG and his Papa will walk down town to see all the kids and parents dressed up. We are hoping he will enjoy this event.
Mama Leith is hoping for some candy too. Our house will be open to visitors...little friends for some TREATS and NO TRICKS this year. Should be a fun time by all!!!
We would like to Thank ALL our kind dear friends that have dropped off meals, gifts and cards to our new family. It is amazing the LOVE and KINDNESS y'all share ...
Yes...it's time...the baby moniter doesn't lie...baby crying....night feeding.

All is good in the Kinney Family Household!

Just a quick note to tell ya'll that my boys are home!!!! Welcome Alexsei Miles Kinney to your new home in USA!!! The travel was tough for the young man 9 months.....teething and with 2 pink sore ears! However, the boys arrived on Nantucket last night @ 7:30pm and we all had a rough time adjusting to new things. Amazing ....this am every thing fell into place and All is good!!!
Alexsei had a very busy day...playing and playing with new toys......went for a buggy walk with Grandma.....had a home made fresh dinner made by his Mama....roasted chix, organic carrots, fresh cabbage and rice...just like @ the babyhouse and to top it off a warm and cozy bath by his parents.
We are all very happy in love with one another and are ready for BED!
We will post again with some pix when have more time and energy.

On the way!!!

Hi All!

Just received a call from our dear Karen...director of "Good Hope Adoption Services"that my 2 guys....David and Alexsei were taken to the Almaty, KZ by Svetlana for their morning flight to

Amsterdam . One of 3 flights ....then to Boston and finally home to the"Far Away" island....30 miles out @ sea.....

Nantucket.

So, tonight is Mama Leith's last night alone in the house. Tomorrow we will FINALLY be a family!!! This has been a wonderful experience for us !!!!!

Hoping the jet lag , bonding and attachment all goes well!

Papa Dave is off!

Today is the day.....

Dropped David off mid day @ the Nantucket airport for his long journey back to Kazakhstan.

Of course, this Nantucket in the off season and the weather/ mother nature doesn't always behave. We have had very high winds with rain and finishing up with our "Nor'easter" storm.

Today is NOT a day to travel by boat of any kind!! The 15/20 minute quick flight is the way to go...little rocking n rolling.

David's trip will 1st take him to Amsterdam...with a 10hour lay-over. He will be enjoying the quiet sights of the city. Then off on his 2nd flight to Almaty, Kazakhstan.

He arrives very early Sunday am...and our son Alexsei will meet his Papa some time on Sunday.

It's a very exciting time for us all!!!!

The boys have 2 days worth of paper work stuff to do and then hop on a plane(3x) to come back home to the "Grey Lady"/ Nantucket.

Please keep the Kinney boys in your thoughts for a safe and happy return!!!

Thank you to my Mom /Gram Ilona and sister Laura for hosting a lovely rainy day "Tea Party"& "Baby Shower".

It was a great time had by all ! The morning was filled with buckets and buckets of RAIN!!!

Crazy down pours...but mother nature took care of us and cleared out the rain by afternoon so the ladies could join us on Cape Cod for my first Baby shower/Tea party.

I loved seeing and chatting with old family friends and friends from grade school to high school.

I know you see a lot of PINK but, Master Alexsei Kinney did receive some gifts for himself.

We all feasted on Tea sandwiches....egg salad, ham salad, cucumber, and fluffernutter too.

Lemon squares, Cape Cod cranberry bread, fresh strawberries, butter cookies and of course those yummy cup cakes.

This time in our life is so very exciting and overwhelming at the same time.

Both David and I are embarrassing it and getting ready for our new life as a FAMILY!!!

These past 5 weeks since we have returned from Kazakhstan have been busy ones and we have been MISSING our son ALEXSEI everyday. We know he misses us too and he has been taken care of by the wonderful ladies @ the Baby house.

David will be departing on Oct.16th Friday to go back to Kazakhstan to pick-up our son.

David and Alexsei will meet in the city of Almaty...the former capital of Kz and it's in the southern region of the country with mountains and the home of the apple ...the fruit.

The boys will do what they need to do ...SoS clinic health check , and the US embassy... visa stuff before returning back to the USA. This should only take a few days. David and Alexsei will be traveling together .... a great bonding time for both. I wish I could be a fly on the wall to see this!!!

Please keep them in your thoughts for a safe and easy trip home on the Oct.21st.

Grandma Ginny and I will be busy with another Baby shower, taking care of the dogs and getting the house ready for the return of the Kinney Men. Oct.21st besides being Grandma Ginny's birthday will also so a HUGE day for our family!!! The day that

David and Alexsei come home to Nantucket!!!
